Jesus is the most important person your children should learn about and come to believe in. His words are life-changing!

We teach your children straight from the Bible. On Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM service, we offer programming for children ages Birth-6th Grade. During the 10:30 AM service, we offer programming for children ages Birth-4th Grade. You can check-in your child in the lobby of the Children’s Building. If your child is less than two years old, you can also check them in the Life Center nursery. Kids Hope USA is a Christian nonprofit that connects the local church to local elementary school students in need of stable, caring, trustworthy adults in their lives. Through one-on-one mentorships, children are reminded that they are valued and loved, and are empowered towards a brighter future.

SHINE! A place for kids with special abilities and needs to shine for Jesus!

Red Mountain is dedicated to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all children and their families. A buddy is available for any child with special needs. If a child needs to be in a self-contained classroom, one is available during both services. This classroom uses an adapted Bible curriculum where participants learn in a safe and supportive environment geared towards their own special needs.

Special Needs Intake Form

Do you have a heart for children and a desire to make a difference? We’re looking for compassionate, patient volunteers to serve as Buddies for children with special needs during our Sunday morning services, Kids’ Life and other ministry events and opportunities.

Buddies come alongside a child in their classroom, helping them engage in activities, participate in lessons, and feel supported and included as they learn about God’s love. We’ll provide training, guidance and support to help you feel confident in your role.

SERVE IN CHILDREN’S

Early Childhood Classroom Leader

  • Engage with families as they drop off children and pick up children.
  • Engage with kids as they play in the classroom.
  • Lead lesson activities.
  • Lead age appropriate Bible story lesson and help kids understand the story point.
  • Review key passage with kids.

Early Childhood Classroom Assistant

  • Engage with families as they drop off children and pick up children.
  • Engage with kids as they play in the classroom.
  • Assist kids and lead teacher with lesson activities.
  • Help kids engage and focus on the Bible story.

Buddies

  • Serve as a Buddy for children with special needs during our Sunday morning services, Kids’ Life and other ministry events and opportunities
  • Help them engage in activities and participate in lessons.
  • Help them feel supported and included, as they learn about God’s love.

Check-In

  • Greet and welcome families and assist with computer check in.
  • Connect new families with Red Mountain and enter their contact information into our database.
  • Host new families as you help them take their children to their classrooms.

Elementary Classroom Leader

  • Greet kids and families as they drop off and pick up.
  • Oversee/lead the room in all activities.
  • Engage with kids during free time.
  • Support the room helpers in all small group activities.
  • Show the children the love of Christ as you engage in the lessons and activities and are attentive to their needs.

Elementary Classroom Helper

  • Support the room leader to help keep the kids’ attention directed towards the teaching and activities.
  • Be available to step in and help however needed.
  • Show the kids the love of Jesus and what serving one another looks like.

Childcare

  • Become knowledgeable about Children’s Ministry best practices to keep children safe while watching them.
  • Lead or help lead crafts, games, and lesson activities.
  • Change diapers on occasion.
  • Serve a snack.
  • Monitor children on the playground.

Substitute

  • Be available to serve in a classroom or help with a small group when needed.
  • Support the other volunteers in the classroom.
  • Engage with children in a positive and caring way.

SHINE

  • Receive training from the SHINE staff.
  • Engage with children who learn differently and need special accommodations to learn.
  • Greet children warmly and offer an inviting greeting to parents.
