Students

The mission of Red Mountain Community Church is that we are to live as committed followers of Jesus, as a worshiping, transforming and sending church. We believe students are the church now, not only in the future. Therefore, as the Student Ministry of Red mountain, we seek to champion these ideas as part of the larger church body.

WHO WE ARE

The Student Ministry team is made up of adult volunteers who have responded to God’s leading to disciple teenagers as part of a calling on their lives. Week in and week out, they seek to serve, support and be a resource for teenagers as we deepen our faith and conform to the image of Christ.

WHAT WE DO (OUR RHYTHMS & ROUTINES)

MIDWEEK GATHERINGS

High School gathers on Tuesday nights from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Gym. Junior High gathers on Wednesday nights from 6:15 PM – 8:00 PM in the Gym. We have teaching, worship and discussion.

SUNDAY GATHERINGS

Junior High gathers from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the gym, then splits off for small group discussion and engaging in Christian practices. High School gathers from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the gym and then splits off for discussion and Christian practices.

The first Sunday of every month we gather with our families & friends in the Life Center to observe communion. This also gives students & volunteer staff a chance to engage in church services & lobby conversation together.

CAMPS & RETREATS

We do summer camp every year, and every so often, put on retreats in order to create space for relationships with each other and the Lord to deepen.

EVANGELISTIC EVENTS

Conferences, sports tournaments, game nights, and other big group events are fun, but also serve as a way to be evangelistic to our city. We do a handful of these every calendar year.

SERVING ROUTINES

We seek to serve others locally and globally, partnering with various organizations to meet needs, partner with churches and share the Gospel.

SMALL GROUP HANG OUTS

We often split into smaller groups based on grade and gender to deepen relationship with our volunteer staff and the students.
